HELLO, I have returned with a part two to this post with some more YA film/TV adaptions that we all just don't talk about anymore!! Again this post will be entirely stream of consciousness because I feel like that's the only way to properly depict my feelings about these movies. And there's a lot to discuss.

**Note: these are my own opinions, and I'm not saying anything bad against YA adaptions in general.**

Eclipse (2010)
- YES I know that we all know the Twilight saga
- but this is my post and I want to talk about this movie bc I legit cannot remember what happened
- and I think this is the only one I saw in theaters
- (although I could not, for the life of me, tell you why, bc at this point, I wasn't that into the series as I used to be)
- I was very much obsessed with this series, so you'd think that I'd remember some of the plot but I really. cannot
- look, I just looked up the book summary and
- "A few days later, Edward proposes to Bella and, despite harboring an aversion to marriage, she accepts on the condition that he will make love to her while she's human."
- what
- whAt
- WHAT
- we let this happen??
- this is what everyone was obsessed (me included) for 4+ years (okay I was only into it for like a year but)
- and the movie summary??
- "Bella desperately asks Jacob to kiss her, and she realizes that she loves him. Edward learns about the kiss but is not upset, because Bella says she loves him more than Jacob."
- excuse me???
- honestly tho, nothing happened in this book so maybe that's why I can't remember anything, even after reading the wholeass plot
- also I'm getting really deep into this Wikipedia page and there's so much to unpack here
- they hosted special screenings of the first two movies to coincide with the lunar eclipse?? how extra
- Nordstrom had a Twilight-inspired clothing line??? based on Alice and Bella??? BELLA??? the girl who literally just wears flannels and hoodies the entirety of the series (not that that's a bad thing, but why design a WHOLE CLOTHING LINE like this)
- Burger King??? promoted the film?? in what way??? I do not know but I am disturbed
- also also "Heavy in Your Arms" is on this soundtrack, and I just have to say that, Florence, you did not have to go so hard (but I'm grateful that you did)
The Selection (2012, 2013)
- okay I'm going to be honest and say that I hated this series but
- I was interested enough at first to keep up with it when it was announced that there was going to be a tv series
- then it wasn't picked up
- THEN they announced a second pilot
- and then it didn't get picked up
- AND I JUST LOOKED IT UP AND IT'S APPARENTLY GOING TO BE TURNED INTO A MOVIE???
- when not one, but TWO pilots weren't green-lit???
- why does it keep getting second (and third) chances
- this series is just The Bachelor, y'all what's the interest
- anyways, the first pilot had the girl from Prom??
- I don't remember a lot abt this one bc by the time I bothered to look into it, it was already dropped
- and now the second one
- Yael Grobglas!! who you might know as Petra in Jane the Virgin now but in 2013, I knew her from Reign!! this is too much
- I remember watching a scene they released and
- it was so bad
- like I don't remember the specifics (and I don't want to watch the videos again bc I'm too scared)
- but I remember that Maxon was uh propositioning America in a dark room
- but like he was drunk and pushing her up against a wall
- very gross
- I'm sorry, but how is this still being optioned for an adaption?? when we have better stuff to adapt now??
Delirium (2013)
- another pilot that wasn't picked up but
- legit nobody talks about this now
- there were big names attached to this!!
- emma roberts as lena!!
- daren kagasoff as alex!!
- gregg sulkin as julian!!
- okay I just read the wikia summary and???
- "The first episode of the TV series actually covers the entire plot of the first book"
- excuse me???
- whose decision was just to
- shove an entire book into 45 minutes
- ummmm maybe that's why it failed?? just saying
The Giver (2014)
- legit forgot this happened
- I think I've watched like 15 minutes of it
- lowkey it was......too much production, I think?
- but THE CAST
- Meryl Streep!! Jeff Bridges!!
- Katie Holmes?? Taylor Swift?? Alexander Skarsgard??
- and some people I haven't thought abt in a minute (Brenton Thwaites, Odeya Rush, Cameron Monaghan)
The Maze Runner (2014-2018)
- I feel like everybody was into the first movie but then just. never acknowledged the next two
- I only watched the first movie but it wasn't horrible?
- just really long
- but really the second one came on tv the other day, and I just
- could not remember when it came out
- then I found out the third one released?? where was the promotion
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015)
- now, I never read the book but
- I really liked this movie?
- the cinematography.....
Paper Towns (2015)
- my dad asked me about this movie the other day and
- I said
- "is that the one where all his exes are named Katherine" (An Abundance of Katherines)
- no
- "is that the one where..." and I legit could not think of anything else
- so yeah I genuinely could not recall this book nor its movie
- and again, I saw this in theaters
- I remember thinking that Cara Delevingne was not....good at all in this role
Fallen (2016)
- I have not seen this, nor would I want to (bc I despised the books), but I have been informed that it is Very Bad
- which I could imagine tbh bc it looks like it was shelved for almost two years
- JEREMY IRVINE?????
- idk why I'm shocked, I knew that
- (in case you don't know, he was used a lot as fc's for numerous 2013 edits)
- (off the top of my head....for Four and Will Herondale...........)
